California...

Only 85 days...

This snow hit me hard today. It's so weird how yesterday, despite the fact it was a little chilly, I was able to run 3 and half miles outside and actually sweat.

Now it is really very cold out and I am stuck inside watching movies which, on a normal day I wouldn't mind. However it is the lack of option that gets me down. Due to the 12 inches of snow on the ground I can not run outside. ugh... it's almost spring, it's almost spring.

California... brighten my life! haha

On the Sched...

THIS SNOW IS RIDICULOUS!!

As usual New York gets the last huge snow storm in March. I just ran through it and it is at least 10 inches to a foot. I'm at a loss for words to be honest. The only positive to this terrible situation is that school and work were both cancelled. SWEET

So in conclusion... movie marathon, catching up on school work, and that is IT!

Weather Report...

40 degrees and sunny in February is the equivalent of 80 degrees and sunny in July...

BEAUTIFUL! I even wore flip flops today! With pants and a Patagonia bubble jacket, what can I say, my feet needed to get a lil fresh air!

I drove an hour to my Dr. appointment for the usual 10 minute check up for my thyroid. Oh, hypothyroidism... why do you plague me?! Anyway she says all is well so who cares it's worth it.
On my way back I stopped in New Paltz, NY. I went to SUNY New Paltz for one semester and hated it... not my thing I love Purchase College wayy better. Needless to say New Paltz has some kick ass food and I grabbed the burrito featured below!

Jammed in the car for the hour trip back to muh house, I love Sirius/XM U station!

Now I'm off to my Grandpa's house for dinner! LOVE my grandpa! more and more driving!

In Weather Related News...

It's snowing. In New York it is snowing. I knew this was bound to happen again before April but it just brings me down a peg ya know? It's been extremely nice the past few days (and by nice I do not mean warm, but I've seen the sun more than the clouds) and I was just getting used to it.

Now, in comes the gray clouds and that smell, the snowy smell. So distinct. Anyway this means a bad commute home tonight and that I am totally not looking forward to. ICK.

Weather Report...

Holy hell is it cold outside!

So cold that my car is telling me that my tire pressure is low... it also reported that the current temperature was 15 degrees. It has to be kidding if it thinks I'm going to get out in the bitter cold and pump air into those tires.

All I have to say is that I do not know how I ever managed without heated seats.

Ok winter... I've had enough.

Hello Mother Nature, it's me, Catie.

So I know it's only the first week of February but the snow needs to go. In December the flakes make me feel like a little kid. But now... they just bring me misery! The ground is too wet for me to play in and only causes black ice. Traveling around Purchase College there are puddles bigger than Lake Michigan that become hidden by the snow. Nothing is worse than the bottoms of your pants getting soaked and not drying for the entire day at work...
So, Mother Nature, if you could... ease up on New York.

With lots of love,

Catie

On today's schedule:
  • Waking up too early (8)
  • Workin at the Neu 10-5 (left early due to bad weather, didn't really feel like crashing my car today)
  • Battling traffic down the Hutch
  • Chinese for dinner... (still no kitchen)
  • Working on senior project/every other class I'm in
Looking forward to having tomorrow off : )
