Day End Wrap Up...

Woah!

So, I got up, took a shower, got in the car with my Aunt, stopped at the cleaners, stopped for 2 pancakes, stopped to find a phone for the kitchen, stopped at the grocery store, stopped at the butcher, got back home, unloaded the car, unpacked the groceries, found out the kitchen was finished, lined the cabinets, cleaned all of the plates/silverware/pots/pans, put everything back into cabinets, did a couple hours of homework, brought my best friend dinner, came back home.

And here I sit.

I know that is probably hard to read... but thats how the day felt... fast but really really long.

Maybe a little me time tomorrow...

I'm Just Sayin...

I love living in a place where the phrase

"Not Fa Nuthin"

is heard on a regular basis.

On the Sched...

I don't even know what I am doing today... I needed to have a get my life back together today however my Aunt took off from work so I am driving around with her where ever she needs to go. Whatever, it's all good! We will get this kitchen done!

I will be sure to keep all abreast of the situation.

What I nice time I just had...

My brother's girlfriend is so nice and one of the cutest little girls everr.

Had really good food as usual at Cosimos! We started off with some...

• fried calamari, 
  
• I had spicy fussili and 
  
• Caity (oh did I mention her name is Caity too, be spell it different-- see!-- Catie/Caity) had some ravioli. DELISH! 

Then at the movies we had a great crowd in with us which made every joke funnier. You know when everyone repeats what the actor/actress just said? I like when I'm in theaters like that. To be honest I don't go to the movies often because I fall asleep in them! haha that's right. I'm an old woman... Whatareyagonnado!

Date Night...

Since my brother is gone for 3 months his poor girlfriend has no one to take her out on dates.
Since I have no boyfriend, I have no one to take me on dates.

THE SOLUTION: we're going on a date!

I love my brother's girlfriend! She's just the cutest little thing! We have a blast together while we commiserate about not being able to talk to Tomas.

Eyebrows...

What is the first thing you notice about the opposite sex?

for me it's their EYEBROWS!

I've had a mildly sick obsession since a young age. 

Of course when I was 12 I thought it would be a good idea to pluck my eyebrows  till they were mere shadows of themselves. Now, I have I have a strict regimen which includes the recent discovery of eyebrow threading... the most amazing way to shape your eyebrows EVER!

I also happen to lovveeeee Smashbox Taupe Brow Tech. Use it every day! Can't get enough.

I always say that eyes may be the windows to your soul. BUT! eyebrows are the frames.

So, if i meet you don't be surprised if I'm staring at those brows!

On the Sched...

Ohh I dont mean to be a complainer, but humor me for a moment. My Aunt has 2 very nice cleaning ladies come every friday. They're fabulous, they do a fantastic job I couldn't say a bad thing about them.... EXEPT they come at 8 am every single Friday morning. So, here I am, awake at 8am on Friday morning. ewww.


But anyway it makes me get up and get going. And in my goings here are my plans for the day!

• Packing about 2 1/2 weeks worth of laundry
• Driving up state to go to my house where my mom lives (The real Orange County, NY)
• Doing my 2 1/2 weeks worth of laundry
• Hugging the daylights out of my Dog, Timber!
• Going for a run up there through Washingtonville. (I have the nicest course)
• Taking my bro's girlfriend out to dinner and a movie (coincidentally... her name is Caity)

I'll be up there until Sunday dealing with my wild parents and loving my dog! Let's see how fast I'll need to drive back down to the Bronx on Sunday, shall we?

Oh, Andy...

Great opening tonight for the newest exhibition at the Neuberger Museum of Art entitled 

Andy Warhol: Pop Politics

AND

Andy Warhol: Snapshots

The shows includes a ton of polaroid pictures taken by the man himself and then political figures in Warhol's classic pop art style. 

Good turn out too! I'd say a little over 400 people. So nice to see the museum buzzing! I would suggest a quick visit if you 

have the time!

Grocery Shopping...

It's truly one of my favorite things to do in life. It's a mindless activity and I don't know why everyone complains about having to do it... If i could make a relatively good living off of being a professional grocery shopper I would do it in a heart beat. 

Maybe it's my love of food that keeps me from hating it. Whatever it is, who cares.

I say I have Fridays off but it's really a false statement. I do more on Fridays than I so most other days. 

For Today:

• Running (this is tentative depending on how motivated I get)
• Going to Target for some errandy-things
• Andy Warhol Exhibit opens at the Neuberger Museum of Art at 5:30

Day End Wrap Up...

ok I know its past 12 but i was out for a while...

Got a lot done today. Grocery shopping, my nails, fixed my neighbor's computer, made some money, visited a friend.

And! A new discovery. 

My best-friend owns a liquor store. He alerted me that there Absolut has made a mango flavored vodka. I LOVE MANGOS. So we had a little tasting and the consensus around the entire room was thumbs way up. So, if you can find it try it! We mixed with cranberry but i feel like any juice would do.

Under Construction...

THE CONDO

My Aunt and Uncle have made the decision to begin remodeling their condo after owning it for 3 years and being true Manhattanites renting apartments their entire life. 

They began as soon as I moved in redoing the floors in my room and their room which was really nice because my room is beautiful and so is theirs? 

Then they moved to the 2 bathrooms even allowing me to design mine which I did a kick ass job on is you ask me! 

NOW. The kitchen. Our over broke i think sometime in August which has prohibited me from baking which happens to be a true passion of mine. It also reduces you to stove top cooking which isn't always the most fun. Finally the renovation began about 3 weeks ago. HELLL. I just want a home cooked meal and find myself actually wanting to travel back upstate to my parents house where my mom always makes a good meal.

The contractor and his right hand man Gallo come every day at 9, let themselves in... its pretty much like they're part of the place... they even walk Mugzy for me. haha Needless to say it is never quiet here during the day. Today they are laying the tile floor and the sweet sound of the wet saw resonates through the air. I just can't wait until it's all over...

The Economy...

Numbers are in for January 2009:

And I'm graduating in May? fabulous.

On the Sched...

Friday morning is always the same. 

My Aunt has two cleaning girls come to clean our condo. To be honest i think they're just fabulous but I have to clean my room before they can... otherwise I have no idea where anything goes and it is definitely not their job to be picking up my dirty clothes... HOWEVER! they make me bed so nice... I try and try and ca never get

 it back to the way they make it.

Another friday ritual, going grocery shopping... This is how I earn my keep here. I have such a planned route its ridiculous haha. The ladies at the grocery store know me as do all the men at the butcher. I actually love this part of my life.

Also, I have my second job today. Catering which I happen to love and have missed being a little waitress. I have a really good time and glad that I'm going tonight to help out.

Had to drive my Aunt to the bus this morning because she was running late and has no car. It is officially reading 20 degrees out. What a bummer, at least my car is warmed up for when I need to use it though.

And for My official schedule today:

• Clean my room for the cleaning ladies
• Go grocery shopping
• Help my neighbor Ray fix his computer
• Catering with Andy Burke Catering at the Bruce Museum tonight
• Hopefully going over to my friend's Liquor Store at the corner of Bruckner and Castle Hill in the Bronx to say Hello.

So that seems to be the plan...
